Rotary B axis
B axis milling can allow multiple machining operations in a single setup, when used for indexing. Rotary Milling, machining while B axis rotates, allows new ways to mill that would not be possible with 3 axis milling.
Setup B-axis
- Click Common Machining Setup.
- Change the Retract Position to Tool Change This will safely move the tool away from the workpiece before rotation.
- Go to the Assembly tab, and click on the table drop down.
- Click on Axes drop down, Select B and click New Axis
