Rotary B axis

B axis milling can allow multiple machining operations in a single setup, when used for indexing. Rotary Milling, machining while B axis rotates, allows new ways to mill that would not be possible with 3 axis milling.

Setup B-axis

  1. Click Common Machining Setup.
  2. Change the Retract Position to Tool Change This will safely move the tool away from the workpiece before rotation.
  3. Go to the Assembly tab, and click on the table drop down. 
  4. Click on Axes drop down, Select B and click New Axis
