Units

Before you start designing a new part, make sure the system units in SpaceClaim match what you want to use.

Click on File, then at the bottom of the window, click on SpaceClaim Options.

Click on Units.  If you want to set the default system unit, at the top “Unit settings for:  All NewDocuments”

Choose Metric for mm 

Choose Imperial for inch

To Change the units for only the current document, select “This Document.”

Viewing Tools

As with all CAD / CAM software, there are 3 basic ways to move your view around.  Zoom, Pan, Rotate.

Rotate in SpaceClaim:

Press and hold down the scroll wheel on the mouse, then move the mouse around to rotate.

 Zoom in SpaceClaim:

Press and hold down the scroll wheel and Ctrl Key, then move the mouse up or down to zoom.

Pan in SpaceClaim:

Press and hold down the scroll wheel and Shift Key, then move the mouse around to pan.
